Kade Ruotolo profile

Kade Ruotolo is 10-0 in ONE Championship and has never lost there in either ruleset. Born in Maui on 22 January 2003, he was the inaugural ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion and the youngest ADCC world champion in history.

A black belt at eighteen

He and his twin brother Tye started Brazilian jiu-jitsu at three, when their father took them to their first class. In December 2021 he won the IBJJF world title at brown belt, and days later André Galvão promoted both twins to black belt.

He debuted for ONE at ONE 157 in May 2022 against Shinya Aoki, the Japanese grappling legend and former ONE lightweight MMA world champion, and won a unanimous decision at nineteen.

Youngest ADCC champion ever

In 2022 he took gold at the ADCC World Championships at 77 kg, becoming the youngest world champion in that event's history. That October he submitted Uali Kurzhev for the inaugural ONE lightweight submission grappling world title and defended it three times.

Same plan in a different ruleset

Moving to MMA did not change his approach: he submitted Blake Cooper in round one at ONE 167, Ahmed Mujtaba in 64 seconds at ONE 169 and Nicolas Vigna at ONE 171, all inside the first round.

On 15 May 2026 at Lumpinee Stadium he knocked Hiroyuki Tetsuka out in the second round, the first time he had finished anyone in the promotion with strikes.

Thirty-one minutes of cage time

Ten fights, ten wins, six finishes, and an average fight time of three minutes and ten seconds. His entire ONE career adds up to 31 minutes and 44 seconds of competition.
