Shimon Yoshinari is a 22-year-old Japanese Muay Thai fighter, a former WBC Muay Thai world champion, and is unbeaten in ONE Championship with a 26-1 professional record. He was named in the eight-man 2026 ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix in September 2026.
Eiwa Sports Gym, and a cousin with a world title
Yoshinari trains at Eiwa Sports Gym in Japan alongside his cousin Nadaka Yoshinari, the reigning ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion. Two fighters from the same small Japanese gym now sit near the top of the sport at the same time.
Before ONE he also worked with Thai standouts including Pakorn PK Saenchai Muaythaigym, which explains why his ring craft reads more like Thai stadium Muay Thai than Japanese kickboxing.
Seven fights, no defeats
He debuted at Lumpinee Stadium in December 2024, stopping Rittidet Sor Sommai in the second round, then took a unanimous decision over Yodlekpet Or Atchariya on the ONE 172 main card in March 2025.
A second-round TKO of Pettonglor Sitluangpeenumfon followed, then a no contest against Tagir Khalilov after an accidental eye poke, and a decision win over Dedduanglek Torfunfarm to close 2025.
The night in Japan that changed his standing
At ONE SAMURAI 1 in April 2026 he beat Johan Ghazali by unanimous decision and earned a US$100,000 contract, turning him from a domestic prospect into a main-roster name.
On 12 September 2026 at ONE SAMURAI 3 in Yokohama he beat Suablack Tor Pran49, moving to 6-0 in the promotion.
A bracket built against his style
The Grand Prix field named on 23 September 2026 includes champion Asadula Imangazaliev, Aslamjon Ortikov, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Nong-O Hama, Black Panther, Ramadan Ondash and Ubaid Hussain.
